Wedding and Tiered Event Cakes
Prices start at $3.00 per serving* for Buttercream and $4.00 per serving* for Fondant covered. (cake with basic borders.) A special design can be incorporated into your wedding or special occasion cake. Prices vary with complexity of design. Please feel free to let me know if you have something special you would like.
* Price depends on design and added decorations such as sugar flowers, gumpaste figures and toppers.
Bookings are made on a first come, first serve basis for Weddings. Your date is not reserved until I have received a deposit from you. A deposit (50% of cake quote) is required at the time of booking to reserve your cake. This deposit will be applied to the final cost of your wedding/event cake(s). Final balance payment is due 2 weeks before your wedding/event date. If final balance is missed, this contract will be considered null and void and booking deposit will be forfeited by you.
A 2 week's notice is required in order to cancel this contract. A $25.00 administrative fee will be held back from returned booking deposit. Changes to an existing design will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to your wedding or event date. After that date, I can't accept any changes. Remember that you can change almost anything up to the two weeks before the wedding/event except orders with gumpaste flowers where I require at least four (4) weeks notice.
Wedding Cake Consultations
I will be happy to schedule a consulation with you to discuss your cake. I understand that you have a million and one decisions to make and I try to keep it simple for you by offering a no-pressure taste sampling. My assumption is that you are information gathering, so I do not expect a decision, a commitment or a check on that day. This also gives me a chance to get to know your likes and dislikes in regards to the cake that I will be designing for you and get back with you on a quote a few days later.
• You are welcome to bring up to a total of three people (seating limitations).
• Since this appointment can be lengthy, we don’t recommend bringing children as our facility is not a very entertaining place for them to try to sit quietly while mom/dad conduct a business meeting.
• You should plan about an hour for this appointment.
• If you have some photos of cakes you’ve seen that you like, please bring those with you.
• If you have a specific color you want used in your cake design, please bring a color swatch that you can leave with us (a scrap of material, ribbon, or one bride even brought us a paint card from the hardware store’s paint dept! )
We understand that sometimes things come up and appointments need to be rescheduled. We just ask that you let us know 48 hours in advance when that happens so we will not prepare the cake sample for you and/or we can go ahead and schedule another couple in your time slot. We will happily re-schedule your appointment for you. Your consideration is appreciated by us and by our future brides to help us keep our samplings free!
