About me - Your designer
I have always had a love for baking, a wonderful tradition passed on to me from my mother who loved to bake and cook for her family. I learned from her at a young age the pleasure of making sweet treats for others to enjoy. As a mom I took the next step and began decorating cakes for my two children and now my grandchildren. I've always loved art and crafts; including drawing, scrapbooking, painting and creating things with my hands. I've applied that talent with God's blessing to my cakes. It is in making beautiful cake creations that I have found my passion and an expression for my artistic abilities.
Unlike any other form of art I've done, people seem to really get a lot of pleasure out of cake. It has been a very spiritual experience for me. Cake is about joy. It's about honoring another person to let someone know he or she is very special. I think cakes are a way we do that for one another, whether it is for a new couple, a new baby, or a birthday girl, it tells someone he or she is *Important, *Unique, and *Special. I think that's just about one of the best things we can do in this journey of life.
